From planing down a rough board to applying oil to a finished piece, woodworking is a process that I handle in a diligent way. My attention to detail is shown throughout my work, and it is recognized by my audience.
I love when my original ideas come to life. When I watch a completed, two-dimensional sketch from my book slowly evolve into a three-dimensional woodwork, it is simply rewarding.
I appreciate exploring wood species that are new to me, to see what it has to offer during the process, as well as the final result. One of the most beautiful parts of working with this medium is applying the finish when the piece is complete, revealing some of its natural splendor. Whether it is the shade, color, figure of the wood, or grain complexity, my wood choice is strongly considered before and while I produce a piece.
